\nColor BOX’s Amp PLEXI is a handcrafted collection of guitar amplifier simulators built natively for Native Instruments Reaktor 6, authored with the kind of circuit-level obsession you’d expect from a boutique amp builder \u2014 not a software house. This isn’t a preset pack or an IR loader. It’s a set of fully realized amp models constructed from the ground up inside Reaktor’s Core environment, where the actual electronic behavior of the circuit lives.
\nThe Amp_PLEXI collection covers three of the most historically significant British amplifier circuits ever produced:<\/p>\n

Amp_J-800 \u2014 modeled on the Marshall JCM800 (circuits 2204 and 2203), the backbone of hard rock and metal for four decades
\nAmp_PLEXI-SLP \u2014 based on the Marshall Super Lead Plexi (1987 and 1959), the raw, harmonically rich foundation of classic rock tone
\nAmp_PLEXI-45 \u2014 derived from the Marshall JTM45, the earliest Marshall design and one of the most revered British amplifier circuits ever made<\/p>\n

What makes Amp PLEXI exceptional isn’t just what it sounds like \u2014 it’s how deep you can go. For those familiar with Fractal Audio processors, the workflow will feel immediately familiar: you’re not locked into fixed parameters. At the Core level, you can swap out component values, substitute tube and speaker models, or restructure the circuit topology itself. It’s a living amp model \u2014 not a snapshot of one.
