Grainferno — Where Samples Go to Be Reborn
Description: Grainferno is BABY Audio’s most ambitious instrument yet — a next-generation granular synthesizer that tears your audio apart at the molecular level and reassembles it into something entirely unrecognizable, or hauntingly familiar. Feed it any sample, stem, or loop and watch it dissolve into microscopic grain clouds that drift, swarm, and collide into rich new textures. Push the grain rate into the audio range and those clouds stop being ambience — they become oscillators, playable in tune across your keyboard with the ghostly spectral DNA of the original sound still baked in. Dual-source morphing, deep per-grain shaping, a fully modular drag-and-drop mod system, and a reconfigurable onboard FX chain make Grainferno less of a plugin and more of a sonic wormhole. v1.1.1 brings stability refinements and a corrected Shape parameter — a small patch on a very large fire.
